We are looking for people to help us out and assist us improving the lives of PLWHA.
Even though, we are a small NGO, we can offer voluntary work in a broad range of fields. Listed below you will find some examples:
- Journalists (creating content website, interviewing, archiving, track recording)
- Nurses (or students in that area)
- Medical Students (Like nurses; visiting and treating patients in field, later, you should bring their own mobile aid bag and supplies)
- Psychology (counseling)
- Graphic Design (website maintenance)
- Social Sciences (counseling, field visits)
- Humanitarian Sciences
- Business Administration (organizing, track recording, writing funding proposals etc)
- African sciences
- Councilors
- Nutrition specialists
- Students Theology ( spiritual support & guidance)
- Development
- Teachers (for children who do not attend school)
- Event Management (organizing stuff for kids, to raise money)
- Sales management (proposal writing), etc
- Graphic Design or IT (creating and maintaining a website)
We would like to emphasize that the most important requirement is motivation.
Accommodation
As most students or volunteers find it difficult to organize accommodation for an internship overseas, we will assist you with this, in order to make your preparations as convenient as possible. We can arrange a host family for you or book a room at the Ivory Hotel, according to your preference. The advantage of staying in a host family (besides the financial aspect) is that you will be more integrated in the culture of Uganda. We will find a host family in Nansana or in outlying communities. Either way, taxi’s are easily accessible, depart every five minutes and can be found within walking distance. If you prefer the Ivory Hotel, it is located on walking distance of the organization.
