Psychosocial support

Our aim:

To bridge existing gaps and offer a safety net that can capture and redirect vulnerable children’s households who fall short of, or require further support beyond the scope of the mainstream project result areas

Our actions:

- Community based organizations empowerment: we conduct community dialogues and workshops for vulnerable children households about any family related topic

- Household awareness: we create concrete referrals and linkage systems to critical services within communities to support and care for children and their households

- Referral systems development: we foster innovative partnerships for vulnerable women, children, adolescents and their households with private sector firms to increase economic and social opportunities

- Provision of material support: we distribute necessary materials to critically vulnerable children and their households to help them access and acquire equal opportunities

- Recreational activities: we foster target groups to participate in different activities to allow them feel equal in value and have fun

Our results in 2018:

- 329 critically vulnerable households supported with in-kinds materials such as toys, shoes, clothes, etc.

- 824 vulnerable children’s households supported to access critical services including health, shelter, clothing, food, education and legal support

- Over 3 264 children reached with psychosocial support services

- 11 quarterly health camps organized to contribute to the increased access and utilization of health services in the communities

- 11 401 home visits made to address social issues for home-based psychosocial wellbeing
